Where can I find a desription of the festival courses?
In the course database you will find a number of excisting festival courses - try and search for Roskilde Festival. Furthermore you can create a special course your self from your own idea, or based on a project idea from this website. On 16th of March there will be a Kick Off meeting in Glassalen, building 101, in the lunch break with much more information.
Who can register for a festival course?
All bachelor of science and engineering as well as master students from DTU can register the festival courses.
When do I have to register?
The special courses can be signed up for ongoing, but the official festival courses in the 3-week-period in june must be before the deadline. (Can be found at Portalen.)
Can I sign up for both a festival and a normal 3-week course?
No. You can only be registered at one course during the 3-week-period.
Can I come up with my own project idea?
It is possible to come up with project ideas of your own. If you have an idea for a project, please contact a supervisor at your department, just as if you are creating a normal special course. But if you must have access to Roskilde Festival, you must send a serious, well-documented project proposal dealing with an issue from the festival that you would like to work with, to info@roskilde.dtu.dk.
How do I procede if I have a good idea for a project?
Write us an email at info@roskilde.dtu.dk explaining the issue that is the root of the project and how the project will help the festival.
Is the festival courses tied to a certain semester-period?
There is great freedom in relation to when the festival courses are implemented. The period depends entirely on the project, your study plan and your supervisor.
When does the project work need to be completed?
It depends on the project. Some projects will both start and finish during the spring semester and the 3-week period in june, while other projects that include a lot of data from the festival might not finish until later on after the festival. You will in cooperation with your supervisor and contact person from Roskilde Festival set a deadline.
