Both in the beginning and end of the festival there is a lot of chaos with getting to the festival by car. The festival is interested in minimizing this chaos and saving time for festival guests as well as their friends and family for the upcoming Roskilde Festivals.
The project is about how to optimize the parking areas at Roskilde Festival to get the most possible parking spaces. The student behind the project has set up a mathematical model for parking parking and made a program that can optimize the number of parking spaces in the parking areas.
The work at the festival will consist of collecting data and observing queues and traffic jams that can be used in the further work of making a model for optimization of parking at the festival.
